The best Korean foundation for oily skin

When I came to Korea for the first time I fell in love with cosmetics here. South Korea is well known for their huge beauty industry and I bet anyone who has been here knows that they have thousands of amazing products for every kind of people. My skin type is oily and the color is light so I have always struggled to find decent priced makeup foundation which is not too dark and stays longer on my face. Luckily, Korea saved me! Let me introduce you Double Lasting Foundation from Etude House.

What does it do?

The foundation promises to be long-lasting and offer a semi-matte finish. The touch is light and the scent is delightful. The double lasting foundation should cover your skin with single coat and make it flawless. It is also said to adhere the skin without making it heavy or caky. There are various shades for different skin tones, so I guess many people can find a good one for themselves!

How to use it?

Clean and moisturize the skin well. Shake the bottle up and down and take proper amount. Apply some foundation on the back of your hand and use a foundation brush to apply it onto face. Pat gently with your finger tips to make it even.

Experience

Here you can see before & after pictures. I have some freckles and discoloration and Double Lasting Foundation covered them nicely. The foundation has SPF34 PA++ so you can use it to protect your skin from UV rays. I use the shade "Pure" because it is the lightest shade and fits my skin tone perfectly. I personally feel the foundation has really good coverage but it doesn't feel too thick and heavy on my skin. It is good to moisturize your skin well to make the result more beautiful. After a long day the foundation looks beautiful, tho the oiliness is a bit there. So I recommend to use for example a sleek mist to make the matte look last thorough the day.

How to make the foundation even better?

To make my skin look a bit healthier I use Missha's Colorbeam Blusher with the color OR02 Orange Fantasy. Before I was afraid to wear orange blush but I noticed it looks nice especially in the summer time! I use it also as an eye shadow and to be honest I am kinda addicted to make the "peachy look".

Final result

I've used this foundation about a year now and it's still my favorite because of the texture, scent and it lasts long on my face. I don't have to apply it again too much during the day — just fixing a bit for example  with a concealer is enough. Also, to prevent the oiliness it's good idea to spray some facial mist which controls sebum. I recommend this foundation if you want good coverage, decent price and beautiful shades. From Ebay you can get the foundation crazily cheap!
