Beauty standards in Europe vs Asia & Panda's Dream white magic cream

I have grown up in a Nordic country where people are very pale but everybody wants to have tanned and skin kissed by sun . I have never got tanned easily so for me the most natural tone has been very light skin . I was surprised to notice that in Korea and other Asian countries many people actually want to have very light skin instead of very tanned one. In Europe there are lot of different products to get tanned - and in Asia vice versa ones that make your skin lighter. My opinion is that every skin tone is beautiful and unique in their own way and I always wonder why so many people want to have different tone from their natural one which often looks the best on them. However, I don't judge if somebody wants to have slightly different skin tone by using tanning or whitening lotions . So on this post, I will introduce you Tony Moly's Panda's Dream White Magic Cream! No, I don't use whitening creams myself. I simply bought this product randomly when I traveled to K...

The best Korean conditioner

It has been more than a month holiday break for my blog because my Korean boyfriend came to Finland for a visit and I got sick for couple of weeks. But now it's time for new updates and new Korean beauty products! Today I would like to introduce you the best Korean conditioner or hair treatment. The product is Etude House's Silk Scarf hair treatment. It restores damaged hair and moisturizes with the oil complex combined with lovely floral scent. I have very typical Finnish hair type  —  light, thin and easily damaged. My hair is also very long and I have to cut my ends on a regular basis. But to keep the ends beautiful I need something to keep them silky, smooth and manageable. Silk scarf hair treatment works for my hair exactly that! I bet this works also for other hair types perfectly. The package is light pink and cute — typical Etude House . I like the product a lot but there is only 200 ml in one package and especially for long hair it runs out quickly in r...

Korean pimple patches and how to get rid of the acne scars

Everybody has good and bad days when it comes to skin. Luckily when the bad day is here Korean skin care products will save you. Let me introduce how to get rid of pimples and scars quickly! I went through hard times in Hong Kong when I faced a bad acne breakout. After the terrible acne was gone I was left with ugly scars. I found out pretty quickly a solution for them: vitamin c. It reduces redness, improves collagen production and heals the scars. I got a nice souvenir this week from Korea - 10 pieces of vitamin C sheet masks from Nature Republic . The mask sheet is pretty large so it covers your whole face properly. Before the mask wash your face and apply some toner. Let the mask rest on your face for 10-20 minutes. After that take the mask away and pat your skin gently so the product absorbs properly. The mask has a brightening effect and the skin feels very fresh after the mask. Using vitamin c products on a regular basis will fade your scars dramatically. After the mask...

The best Korean cleansers for oily skin

It's time for Korean beauty products! Today I'm going to introduce my ultimate favorite Korean face cleansers. On my blog I focus on products which I personally find useful and effective. As mentioned in my previous posts , my skin type is oily or mixed so I need products to reduce excessive oil on the skin. I have done a lot of research and ended up buying these two popular products from Skinfood sales back in Korea. Let's see how they are! The Black Sugar Mask has real organic sugar in it which exfoliates and nourishes the skin. It is enriched with vitamins and it smells very pleasant. It has slight citrus scent though overall it smells very sweet. Every time I apply it on my face, I want to taste it because the scent is so delicious! Apply and massage the sugar mask after cleaning the face and let it stay there 10-15 minutes. The texture is pretty thick so I always mix it with some water. After the mask has been on the skin for a while just rinse it off with so...

The Best Korean Eyelash Curler

As most of the people know cosmetics and beauty products are close to my heart — especially Korean ones. You can barely find any other than Korean products from my makeup bag ( for example  The best Korean foundation for Oily skin )  and that's for a reason: they are good quality, ahead of western ones and in many cases cheaper. I would like to introduce you my favorite eyelash curler which I use on a regular basis to get beautiful eyelashes. It is cheap, stylish and it works! The curler is Curl Fix from Etude House and it costs less than 5 euros. The color is black matte so it also looks better than cheap iron ones. It doesn't pinch eye lids at all so I guess it is perfect for my eye shape! Here you can see a before picture: My lashes are light and not really thick so I need a bit stronger curler to make them look good. After cleaning your skin and waiting the moisturizer to dry is an ideal moment to curl the lashes. After curling I put some mascara. For example Etud...

The best Korean foundation for oily skin

When I came to Korea for the first time I fell in love with cosmetics here. South Korea is well known for their huge beauty industry and I bet anyone who has been here knows that they have thousands of amazing products for every kind of people. My skin type is oily and the color is light so I have always struggled to find decent priced makeup foundation which is not too dark and stays longer on my face. Luckily, Korea saved me! Let me introduce you Double Lasting Foundation from Etude House . What does it do? The foundation promises to be long-lasting and offer a semi-matte finish. The touch is light and the scent is delightful. The double lasting foundation should cover your skin with single coat and make it flawless. It is also said to adhere the skin without making it heavy or caky. There are various shades for different skin tones, so I guess many people can find a good one for themselves! How to use it? Clean and moisturize the skin well. Shake the bottle up and down ...
